Riverside location, charming historical features, scenic garden for relaxation

Several rooms are small, with a mismatch between expectations and reality!!! Shower plumbing issues need attention, while musty odors in some rooms impact comfort. More storage space would greatly enhance the stay!!! Limited parking could also be improved!!!

The rooms sport charming historical features, delivering a unique ambiance that adds a layer of character to the stay. Proximity to nature walks provided a refreshing escape for a solo traveler longing for a bit of fresh air.

The shower in my single room had some nagging complications, specifically with sliding shower heads that detracted from the experience. I also ran into parking confusion when arriving late, needing to decipher the gate code after settling into my room. A semi-blocked sink made mornings a bit of a hassle, without enough rushing water for a decent shave. It was a bit of a quirky challenge dealing with a plastic mattress protector that made the bed uncomfortably warm, though the bed became comfortable once I removed it.

Solo travelers, look no further

The view from my room was pretty lovely! Got to overlook the river which created a nice atmosphere to wake up to. The breakfast was something else, I mean they really went out of their way with the variety, it felt like a proper spread.

It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but still manageable.

The room provided a beautiful garden view and was kept clean and tidy. Customer service was exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, the bed was uncomfortable, and the shower temperature was tricky to regulate. Additionally, it lacked decent curtains that could keep the light out, affecting sleep quality.

Wonderful riverside experience with great breakfast options

I had a lovely stay with a perfect view of the river. it was just a short walk to the town center. Phi, the host, was incredibly welcoming, and the continental breakfast had a fantastic variety, including fresh fruit and pancakes. However, the room decor felt a bit outdated, which could use some refreshing.

The guesthouse offers a fantastic location along the river, providing a lovely view. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and while the rooms are a bit small, they are comfortable and clean. However, the parking situation could use improvement and breakfast choices felt limited.

Staying at this charming spot was perfect for our family! We visited the nearby Aigas Golf Course, and my wife enjoyed the breathtaking views while the kids played safely in the garden. The room was cozy and fit us all comfortably.

My kids wished there were more outdoor play toys available.

I loved wandering along the river's edge, which was just a few steps away, and the short stroll to the nearby parks made every evening relaxing and enjoyable.

The Talisker Guest House offers an excellent location with beautiful views over the river Ness. It is just a 10-minute walk to the city center and close to numerous attractions. The breakfast was delightful, featuring a wide variety of options including fresh fruit, pancakes, and croissants. Phi, the host, provided exceptional service and made our stay feel welcoming. Free parking was also a plus.

The local eats blew me away, especially at Contrast Brasserie—definitely a must-try! And the room overlooking the River Ness was a serene spot to unwind after all the culinary adventures.

the talisker guest house is in a nice, quiet location with a room overlooking the river ness. it’s just a 6-7 minute walk to shops and eateries. i appreciated the owner’s effort to provide gluten-free bread and muesli—a nice touch!
